"Because he taught me proper ball striking and technique, my transition from kicking soccer balls to kicking footballs was very easy. A lot of coaches can teach you technique and how to play, but AB is unique in that he delves into the mentality and more of the side of why you play. The thing that he taught me that has been the most important to my success in kicking in high-pressure situations is the importance of mindfulness and breathing. I have a daily routine that AB gave me that has really separated me from my competition which involves separate breathing and mindfulness training.Being more mindful has helped me focus better in school, improved my sleep quality, helped me really determine my most innate aspirations and motivations, and has just improved my general well-being and happiness."
"Anthony Brenner has truly been one of a kind in developing both the soccer player and person I am today. The first initial months working with Anthony we hammered home the importance of footwork and the mechanics of general ball striking. After a few months my maximum of 30 yards increased by 40 yards. Anthony’s support throughout high-school opened avenues for me to play at the collegiate level. Without even asking for support, Anthony was able to immediately put name out there to the MLS academies. Ultimately after a good trial with FC Dallas my family and I decided to move to Texas to continue my athletic development. Another thing I would like to mention about Anthony is the impact he has had on me as a person. Often as an athlete, we are often caught up in the intensity of it all and don’t truly give love to our mentals. Anthony made it a priority for me to also develop beneficial mental habits. He taught me the importance of being humble, grateful, mindful, and emotionally vulnerable. Even today, after 6 years, Anthony and I have weekly check ins as I go through the stresses of college life as a student athlete. Anthony truly represents a stable and constant source of friendship and mentorship for me. I am able to tell him anything without any judgment in return. I will always be extremely grateful for his impact on my life and would strongly recommend to anyone trying to develop!"

“I have had many personal coaches in my soccer career. I have worked with coaches from the club level, MLS, Academy level, and D1 level. In my career, there hasn’t been one coach quite like AB. For me being a forward, ball striking is something that is a foundation in soccer that is a necessity, and the only person I would turn to to work on that with is AB. The amount of detail and focus he puts into the small mechanics and functions of ball striking is unmatched. He is someone who will give you his undivided attention and be in the present moment with you to help you become and develop into the best striker of the ball that you can possibly be. I don’t think that I have met another coach who puts as much effort and analysis in striking. He helped me master striking techniques that set me up to be in environments like an MLS academy and a D1 university"
“I had the pleasure of meeting Coach Brenner at the end of last summer while on Bundesliga trials in Germany while he was with with one of the players he coaches. Unsolicited he gave me ongoing support and insight into my play as well as real-time recovery strategies and advice on nagging minor injuries I was experiencing. This was extremely helpful. Coach Brenner now provides me with remote assistance and advice as I compete at the top levels in Germany. His knowledge and expertise in all aspects of football life have proven invaluable to me. I'm hoping to keep working with him, I'm especially excited about the work on mindset. we are soon to begin.”
My name is Camryn Bolick and I currently play Division I soccer at Furman University. I trained with Coach Brenner throughout high school in both private and group sessions. I attribute a lot of my success throughout my soccer career to the skills I developed throughout our training sessions. I have trained with many coaches, but Coach Brenner has a unique coaching style that sets him apart from others. I have never trained with anyone as detail oriented as Coach Brenner. He helped me significantly improve my technical skills, specifically ball striking. I was able to relearn the proper mechanics of ball striking so that I can consistently create efficient, accurate, and powerful shots. One way he does this is through video analysis. I found this extremely helpful because I’m a visual learner. Video analysis helps the player gain a better understanding of what they need to improve on because you can visually understand his coaching tips, which makes them significantly more impactful.
Parent & Peer Comments
Being a parent of a senior is tough, anyone who has been through that year of parenting will tell you that and I have been through it twice before. So, when it came time for my third son, Kevin to be a senior, I approached this year with confidence. I have done it all before, how could this be any different or any more difficult than the previous two boys? How naive I was! Kevin has devoted his life to soccer, a sport he fell in love with at the age of four and from that year on soccer was his sole passion and focus.Kevin has always wanted to be a professional soccer player, it was never just a childhood dream, he has fully attempted to make this a reality. He has sacrificed much to get to where he is and as his mother all I want is to assist him in making those life goals come true. I reached out to Anthony Brenner to help. I was in over my head, I had no idea how to guide him on this journey. Anthony’s background and knowledge immediately put Kevin at ease. He shared stories from other kids who sat right where Kev was today with the same doubts and the same overwhelming feelings. Anthony spent real time getting to know Kevin during his call and followed up with some questions and steps Kevin needed to take himself to get started on his next chapter of soccer and life. He provided Kevin with the space, time and freedom to really sit with his goals and vision for his life, to stop and take time to explore what is important to him. Immediately I saw a change in Kevin. The overwhelming, stressed persona seemed to fade as he was now working with Anthony and taking it step by step in more achievable focused chunks. The path was now less daunting, made more sense and was more focused on Kevin’s needs, wants and goals. Anthony has an organized approach, is easy to talk to and gained the trust of Kevin. It was nice to trust and know Anthony had no other interest other than what was best for Kevin. In Anthony I had a partner in the process and Kevin had a guide and a confidant. It became clear to me that for Kevin to create a real future for himself he must be in control of the process. For this to happen I had to take a step back, which I must say as a parent is the most difficult thing to do, yet knowing he had Anthony there allowed me to do so with ease.
I have a better relationship with Kevin now, we don’t argue as much, I am not nagging and consistently questioning him. I am enjoying these last months of him home, I am savoring the games and the moments we have together. We are both grateful to Anthony for protecting that time, as we know time is the most valuable thing we have with our kids.

"I have yet to come across a coach that has the level of commitment to his players as Coach Brenner. In addition, his depth of knowledge and understanding of overall well being, mental health, importance of nutrition, recovery and the recruiting process has been invaluable to our family. The most meaningful takeaway from our time with Coach Brenner was his interest in my son, the person not just the player. Everything he does is with intent and continually plants little seeds for them to be self reflective and look deep inside. My son is a better human because of his time with Coach Brenner and not to mention, a much better soccer player."

“Anthony’s influence on our son’s physical and mental health as a young athlete has been immeasurable. The relationship that they have created has been so strong and positive. We always turn to him for guidance and feedback and have always felt very confident with the results. He helps to create a healthy sense of balance in our son’s life while never losing sight of our son’s individual goals and needs. We are so very grateful for his presence and influence in our son’s development as well as our own as we navigate this journey together.”

" “There are many coaches that are good at helping a player with technique and tactics. However, Anthony excels at that and the mental aspect. In addition, Anthony has a large pool of resources. Where he excelled for us as a family is helping us navigate soccer after high school. It is a daunting process and Anthony does a phenomenal job with clarifying goals, timeline, and setting expectations. This is so important as many players have unrealistic expectations or are unsure on how to achieve their goals with college coaches. Since every soccer path is different having someone like Anthony help is invaluable. With Anthony he has helped us chart a path with many college coaches and even places overseas. He truly has your best interest.”

"Two years ago our son was told he wasn’t a good long ball passer; after AB worked on it with him a lot. It paid off, last year our son’s coach told him he’s probably the best passer on his team. Maybe most importantly, our son has developed a relationship of trust, respect and honesty with Anthony that will serve him well in soccer and life. Anthony works to build better players and better humans"

"His immediate focus on the mental aspects necessary to succeed laid the foundations and meditation practices that our son will always adhere, hopefully the rest of his life. Anthony also focused in on the nutritional end and yoga to help avoid injury as he had to progress quickly. It is a very holistic approach to being a top athlete. All of the positive energy, support, coaching and mentoring put our son in the position he is in. Our sons dream would not have been possible without Anthony. We are truly grateful and Coach Brenner is held in the highest esteem in our sons eyes"

“The holistic approach to Anthony’s training and dedication to his kid’s soccer path is really what sets it apart. He goes over everything from diet, mentality, sleep patterns, and life choices to help an athlete realize their greatest potential.”

"He always asked them what they wanted to work on so that they learned to become more self analytical as opposed to having an adult tell them what they needed to do."

“Coaches offer so very much to athletes- address their minds, hearts, and souls. It is not just the X’s and O’s it is so much more. Anthony got my coaches to think about why they coach, what is the best part about coaching and to truly lean in. He equipped my coaches with the tools to think outside the box, to empower them to create an environment where athletes can feel safe, challenged, and mentally prepared to face what is thrown at them. Anthony is one of the most successful coaches I have had the privilege of working with. His players respect him, and are better people because of his coaching style and his approach to coaching the entire athlete, both physically and Mentally. Anthony has taught me as an Athletic Director to BREATH, and take moments to be grateful.”
